Olivko Set Keluarga: Olive Oil for the Kitchen and the Little Ones

The Olivko Set Keluarga is an extra virgin olive oil bundle that pairs one 500ml bottle for everyday cooking with one Olivko Kids 250ml for children’s meals. It is the easiest way to start with Olivko when there are young children at home.

How to use it

The 500ml bottle

Use it for sautéing over moderate heat, or drizzle it raw over salads, soup, hummus and rice before serving. The fresh character of extra virgin is clearest when it is not heated.

Olivko Kids 250ml

• A small spoon stirred into rice or oat porridge after cooking
• Mixed into vegetable purées such as pumpkin or potato
• A few drops over your child’s rice or soup before serving
• Use it raw — do not overheat

For babies just starting solids, follow your doctor’s advice on when and how much.

When to move to a bigger bundle

Storage and delivery

A recipe for the little ones: simple pumpkin purée

1. 1Steam or boil small pieces of pumpkin until soft.
2. 2Mash or blend until smooth, adding a little cooking water if it is too thick.
3. 3Let it cool to warm, then stir in a small spoon of Olivko Kids.

How to read an olive oil label

When choosing olive oil for the family, the label tells you a lot if you know what to look for:

• Grade: look for “extra virgin”, not “pure” or “light”.
• Origin: a single country of origin is easier to trace than a blend from several.
• Where it was bottled: “bottled at source” is not the same as “packed in”.
• Acidity: a brand confident in its quality can state this number.
• Certification: organic and halal marks you can check.
